Omnimo is a new user interface intended to give your desktop a futuristic, high-tech look and feel. Even though the display doesn’t look anything like the startup desktop of Windows or iOS, Omnimo is extremely easy to navigate and learn to use.
Installation is as easy as downloading, running and extracting the zipped files. Follow the simplistic setup menu until Omnimo is fully installed. The software can be installed on all recent versions of Windows except Windows XP.
Omnimo gives users the option to completely customize their desktop to fit their needs. Instead of small graphical icons, Omnimo features large panels which represent programs. It was originally inspired by interfaces of Metro UI, Windows 8 and the Windows Phone 7. The code is completely unique and separate from any other existing user interfaces.
Created by two independent software developers, Omnimo started as a design that grew into a real product after fans expressed their interest. Since it’s freeware, users cannot be guaranteed dedicated support for any technical problems; however, the creators will be more than happy to help out if they are emailed.
The developers also spend time writing modifications and updates based on user comments. The creative add-ons have been designed to please the aesthetic sensibilities of Omnimo’s user base. “Premium” is a bare bones desktop layout featuring less than six panels. “News” provides easy access to the web’s top news sites, and “Designer” gives the artistic user access to creative resources. Omnimo has over 65 add-ons ready to be installed.
Download Omnimo today to have all of your favorite websites and programs more available than ever before.
